Become a host to a displaced Ukrainian family

If you are able to provide temporary accommodation even to one person fleeing from war, or a mother with her child, or a whole family – your help will uplift and change the life of this person, or this family, forever. It is not possible to underestimate the help you will be providing to another human being.

The government scheme is asking people in the UK to offer accommodation for at least 6 months – we know this is a significant ask, and we are doing our best to make sure that the ‘match’ is absolutely safe and works for both sides so that these relationships don’t fall apart.

The accommodation can be anything from an empty room to an unoccupied home, as long as it’s safe and heated, and gives your guests adequate access to bathroom and kitchen facilities. You can find answers to frequently asked questions about the scheme here.

The government is making a ‘thank you’ payment to the hosts of £350 towards to help with the inevitably rising costs of utility bills etc. Ukrainians are responsible for their own meals, and under this scheme people will have access to public services, work and benefits so that they are able to fully integrate in the communities, even if it is temporary.
